iPhone 4 News: Buy in Store on June 24 or Pre-Order Online for July Delivery
Online Orders for iPhone 4 won't be shipped until July, was July 2 now July 14th...could be delayed again
The saga continues. Yes, there are no more ONLINE pre-orders that will get you an iPhone 4 by June 24th.
However, check with your local Best Buy or RadioShack, many have been taking pre-orders for their limited supply and can be picked up (possibly early opening) in the store
on June 24th.
600,000 iPhones were pre-ordered on the first day causing AT&T’s system to collapse.
A statement from Apple yesterday:
Yesterday Apple and its carrier partners took pre-orders for more than 600,000 of Apple’s new iPhone 4. It was the largest number of pre-orders Apple has ever taken in a single day and was far higher than we anticipated, resulting in many order and approval system malfunctions. Many customers were turned away or abandoned the process in frustration. We apologize to everyone who encountered difficulties, and hope that they will try again or visit an Apple or carrier store once the iPhone 4 is in stock.
