Looks like we are making progress to making 3D TV a reality in our homes.  As Barb Dybwad says in a Mashable blog, it will be up to the manufacturers to get up to speed by making 3D HDTVs.

Other pieces are coming into place toward making 3D a reality in our homes. New standards for HDMI connections  include 3D specifications.  In English: they now have it in place for the cables to be able to send 3D signals.

I will be covering as much as I can about 3D at the 2010 CES which starts next week.  Come back to check out more blogs about the future of  TV.

Here’s Mashable’s great blog on 3D.
