3D is coming! 3D is coming! DirecTV to offer 1st 3D channel

Looks like we are making progress to making 3D TV a reality in our homes.  As Barb Dybwad says in a Mashable blog, it will be up to the manufacturers to get up to speed by making 3D HDTVs.

Other pieces are coming into place toward making 3D a reality in our homes. New standards for HDMI connections  include 3D specifications.  In English: they now have it in place for the cables to be able to send 3D signals.
