Comic-Con for Adults & Baby Boomers

Submitted by admin on July 22, 2009 – 4:03 pmNo Comment

If, like most people you haven’t heard of Comic-Con, it is a convention for geeks and those who like pop culture.  From video games to popular TV and movies, it’s all there.  Movie directors like Tim Burton, Robert Zemeckis, and James Cameron will be on panels to give us sneak peaks about their upcoming films.  The cast and crew of TV shows from “24″ to “True Blood” to “Heros,” “Chuck,” “Big Bang Theory,” and even more will be there along with the creators of “The Simpsons.”  Plus we’ll get special previews of “Twilight- New Moon,” “2012,” “Avatar,” “Iron Man 2″ and much more.

My goal is to offer you what’s new from the baby boomer perspective.  I will be (hopefully) spending a panel with June Foray (she was the voice of Rocky as in Rocky and Bullwinkle) and with “24″ and hopefully with author Ray Bradbury.  And hopefully I’ll catch up with someone we know from our youth and Comic Books…Marvel’s Stan Lee.

So join me over the next few days and experience a place most of you probably would never venture (fighting the crowds with 125,000 plus young geeks dressed in super hero costumes and more), and find out what’s coming up in popular culture today!comic-con logo
